Day 29 - Getting Lost in a Book So I Don’t Lose My Mind

Day 29 - Getting Lost in a Book So I Don’t Lose My Mind

Today’s self-love challenge is reading a book.

Reading lowers stress, strengthens your brain, and gives you a break from the chaos of life. For a few minutes, it’s just you and the words—no screens, no noise, no overthinking.

My options today? Autobiography of a Yogi for some spiritual curiosity, I Am Legend if I want some post-apocalyptic vibes, Unitas to Unitas because I wrote a screenplay with the author about his dad, or Decide Happy by Susan Denny Hall because, honestly, I could use a reminder.

The cringy version says it’s about “expanding your mind and connecting to your higher self.

The SELF LOATHE CLUB version? I’m escaping reality, shutting off for a bit, and giving my brain something better to focus on. That’s self-love.

What are you reading right now? Drop your recommendations because I need a new distraction. Follow along as I test self-love practices that don’t suck.
