Day 31 - Working Out – Making Fitness Work for Me

Today’s self-love challenge is all about fitness.

The cringy version of this? “Discover your inner strength and transform into your best self.”

The SELF LOATHE CLUB version? I’m just trying to stay alive and keep my brain from spiraling. I use a fitness app that programs my daily workouts, and it’s super easy to modify and takes all the guessing out.

Here’s the thing—working out isn’t just about physical health for me. Two years ago, I had a quadruple bypass, and as a recovering alcoholic, staying active is literally vital.

Exercise reduces stress, boosts serotonin, and gives me a reason to feel like I’ve accomplished something—even if the rest of my day is chaos.

If you’ve been putting off working out, start small. It’s not about perfection or running a marathon—it’s about moving your body in a way that works for you.

As Dr. Leo Marvin once said…”There are two types of people in this world: those who like Neil Diamond and those who don’t.”
